Having an immobile patient in the house is very difficult Whether the patient has difficulty and limited mobility or is completely immobile, he needs special type of care and assistance. Family members usually do not achieve that, either because of their obligations or because of insufficient expertise. Home care is a service that nurses perform with love and care, which enables a person whose movement is disabled for various reasons, to receive maximum care, support, help and company!

Home care – the best solution?

One part of immobile patients are persons whose mobility is limited or impossible due to the consequences of various diseases, operations or injuries. This includes people who use a wheelchair, walker or use another orthopedic device, but are not able to use them on their own.

Help is also needed for people who have become weak from old age, due to which their movement functions are significantly weakened or they are completely bedridden. People with such problems automatically find it difficult to function completely, and they need assistance with hygiene, feeding, taking medication, changing urine bags, controlling blood pressure or blood sugar, procuring food and medicine, and much more.

Maintaining the comfort of home

This is by far the biggest advantage of choosing home care over moving to a nursing home. There is nothing better than the comfort of your own home. You can sleep in your own bed, relax and watch TV on your own sofa, it’s your home, there are your rules. After many years of hard work and furnishing your home in a unique way, the last thing you would probably want to do is leave it. Home care ensures that you can stay in your home and get the help and treatment you need, when you need it, and in a comfortable environment.

Personal care one on one

When you choose home care, you are sure to get the undivided attention of your caregiver. They are in your home to provide you with individual care, providing you with the best possible help. There are no other patients or disorders that can interrupt your care, allowing you not only to get the help you need, but also to get the best value for the money you pay for those services.

You maintain your independence

Older people have a strong sense of pride and so it should be. You have worked hard all your life for what you have and now you want to enjoy the peace. Even if you need help, you feel most comfortable in your own home, and knowing that you are at home and living alone allows you to maintain your independence and gives you the confidence to keep doing it. With a home care provider you can still do what you love to do and in the comfort of your own home.

Customized care for your specific needs

One of the great benefits of home care is that help services can be tailored to your unique needs. Services vary from health care, permanent, occasional care, or as needed. Specialized care is available for the elderly with specific health conditions and needs. So, whether you need help with medication, help recovering from a medical procedure, bathing, preparing meals, housework, or doing daily or occasional chores, you can get the help you need.

A family can calmly commit to its responsibilities

By providing access to home care when you need it, you will give older people peace of mind in realizing that they can get the help they need to maintain their own lifestyle. It also gives your loved ones peace of mind in knowing that you can get help when you can’t be with the person who needs help. With work, children and daily life, it is difficult for families to be with their elderly parents all the time. Caring for children in the home already means burdening family members, and caring for the elderly is an additional reason to seek home care.

Reduced finances

Finances are a big concern for the elderly. Most retirees and the elderly live on limited monthly incomes, making it difficult for them to afford the high cost of retirement homes. Home care helps reduce the financial burden so that you can still make a relationship to your specific needs and adjust to your monthly budget. If you can afford one day of help at home per week, then choose this option. You choose the services yourself and the amount of services that fit your budget.

There are no strict schedules or deadlines

The ultimate benefit of choosing home care is that you are not left to a certain schedule or time frame, as you would be in a nursing home. Although you need to schedule a time when your caregiver will come to your home, you have the flexibility to choose the times and days of the week that suit you. You also have the flexibility to adjust the schedule if circumstances change.
